PacSeal Hydraulics’ hard seat check valves (also referred to as retention or reflux valves) are used in hydraulic control systems to prevent reverse transmission of pressure or to create unidirectional flow control.
Check valves are commonly used to protect a pump or compressor by preventing the downstream stored energy in a hydraulic circuit from entering the pump’s outlet. A check valve is strongly recommended especially if an accumulator is used downstream of a pump or compressor. Check valves may also be employed throughout a hydraulic circuit, before and after other control components to manage the direction of flow*.
PacSeal Hydraulics’ check valves have a zinc-plated carbon steel body and a hardened stainless steel in-line poppet to provide a metal-to-metal seal for long life with any contaminated fluid. Contrary to soft seated check valves, our check valves are metal seated for improved reliability and longevity in critical service conditions.
*Never rely on the check valve as a block valve for downstream maintenance.
